Friday 24 May, 5.30pm, Charleston Farmhouse, nr. Lewes

Maria Balshaw, Director of Tate, and me, discuss the interaction between popular culture and protest and the impact on creativity. Prior to her role at Tate, Maria Balshaw was Director of the Whitworth Gallery in Manchester, which was awarded Art Fund Museum of the Year in 2015 following a major transformation. This is part of the Charleston Festival – book tickets here. (Our Emmeline photo by Lee Webster).
