EXHIBITION: Inspired by Knepp
I am very excited to be asked to join 12 other artists for the ‘Inspired by Knepp’ exhibition, taking place 4-16 May 2024, at Knepp Wildland. Come and listen to my soundscapes of hope, that track rewilding as the scrubland spreads delighting rare species like the nightingales and turtle doves.
‘Inspired By Knepp’ will show individual artworks that celebrate and champion the rewilding movement. Profits from the artworks sold will be split between the artists and the Knepp Wildland Foundation charity.
I join the original 12 artists that came to Knepp last year to immerse themselves in the landscape and have been responding creatively ever since. The collective is led by the inimitable James Ort, is bringing rewilding to life through different mediums – clay and metal, watercolour, pencil and oil, freestyle stitching, printmaking, needlefelt and environmental art – Lizzie Wheeler, Peter Ward, Tom Shepherd, Hester Berry, Harriet Riddell, Jake Spicer, Rowena Pearce, Nosey Mungo, Lisa Curtis, Mikaela Bartlett, Marian Haf. And the filmmaker documenting the process is Emily Malden.
See Emily Malden’s video below and listen the Knepp Podcast with a number of these artists, recorded last year here.
